Electric Cello

Tried my hand at making an electric cello.   Turned out good, and plays well. It is made of maple.  The fingerboard is Kingwood (ie Dalbergia cearensis - in rosewood family - has a slight purple tint to grain especially noticeable during the shaping/sanding).   Pegbox is topped with a dragon vs. the traditional scroll.  Bass guitar tuning machines used to tune.   The bridge has extra wide feet because I wanted to ensure and even and uniform contact with the piezo pickup.   I installed an EQ-7545R 4 band preamp to ensure good volume.   Works/plays great.   Dimensions and angles correctly match a full size acoustic cello.
