Ben's Ukulele Experiment

Finished this ukulele for my cousin Ben. He wanted to try an experiment. There is an extra string. The 4th and a 5th string are paired close together at the nut, and widening out toward the bridge. The idea is that played on lower frets, the 4th and 5th are played mandolin style, and individually played on the higher frets. There is an extra slot at the nut and an extra string hole in the bridge to give him the option to try other configurations if this doesn't do what he desires. The body is all koa, the fingerboard, headpience vanier, and bridge are ebony, and the next is mahogony. Inlaid with hibiscus flowers and his initials at the 12th fret. He also wanted to reuse some classical guitar tuners. Hope he likes it.
