Another guitar finsihed - "The Kingwood"

The "Kingwood"
Finished another guitar last week. This is serial number 42. Tried some new and interesting things with this one. Body back is walnut. Top is maple. It has a 'thru-body' neck which is made of maple, kingwood (Dalbergia cearensis - which is a kinda purple when freshly cut and is in the rosewood family from Central and South America - has some great color contracts and patterns), and purple heart. Use 3 humbucker pickups with some fancy switching hidden in a recess in the lower body bout. Headstock is kingwood and the fingerboard is ebony. Tried a nouveau leaf pattern inlay which was quite ambitious using abalone and peral. I wanted the finish to have a vintage appearance. The light walnut stain works well on the maple to sunburst.
