Jazz Bass

Started making this Jazz bass for my son Paul. This and next few posting will document the progress. It has a thru-neck of curly maple and walnut. Body top is curly maple and the back is walnut. Progress so far is one week-ends worth of effort. Next I'll route the pickup holes then begin final profile carving of the top. A lot of sanding will be needed. I'll begin working the finger board and inlays later this week.
